Mogwai, eat your heart out.

Beautiful. Sure, it's simple, but I don't care. The tone on the guitar is superb, the reverb/delay suits it perfectly, as does the melody, and the noise completes the whole picture. Maybe I would've liked to have heard another element or two thrown in for good measure, but it holds its own as-is. Congrats on your 50th submission!

WinTang responds:

Thanks mate - I'm going to use this in a play probably, been toying with the idea of adding some floating piano notes but eventually decided that I'd go with Less Is More. If you want to have a go yourself, feel absolutely free :)

very nice.

I don't think I've ever seen a 10/10 maintained after 7 reviews... Don't worry, I'm not going to ruin it. The intro is wickedly trippy. I like the drums much better on this one, especially the panned clicky-noises; everything seems to fit well together. Overall, this track has a lot of energy; almost too much for its own good, but that light synth playing above everything else keeps things in control. Well done. 10/5/dl.

Critical-Collision responds:

Thank You attemptedperfection, ahh you like the drums better on this one.

Too much energy? energy is good, glad you like the track

Thank You

great stuff

This is really friggin' cool right from the start. That bass sounds fantastic. The whole song is just really well-put-together. Great drums too, as usual. This is now one of my favs. I likes it. I likes it muchly. 10/5/dl.

SineRider responds:

Wow thanks man. You now have my hopes up for this song. You see when I uploaded this it basically went unnoticed except for one review.

Thanks again I really appreciate it =)

This is really cool...

Like others seem to have said, I think this would probably fit better in the hip hop genre... I'd love to hear some killer rapping over this... maybe I'll try it out when I have access to my studio... don't be surprised if you receive a version of this with vocals several months from now. XD anyway, this is a great track; love that bass. I wish I could get bass like that... friggin' groovy like a record. 5/5.

RyeGuyHead responds:

haha, thanks, I hope you do decide to rap to this.

good stuff

I loved everything except for the drums. From the intro, I was thinking "wow, this is pretty awesome." And then the drums came in. I wanted to like them, I really did; they're unique, which is a good thing. Unfortunately, they just didn't work for me. Maybe if you changed things up a bit more... Otherwise, the song was great.

Critical-Collision responds:

Thank You attemptedperfection for your review, too bad you didn't like the drums :(

Thank You

good times...

I made my scarecrow song to be the imperial march, if only because I thought it was hillarious for it to be played on an ocarina... anywho, very nice work on this interesting concept; orchestrating "some random person's Scarecrow Song" XD
it's actually quite beautiful; rich chords, zelda-esque strings/winds... I'd go as far as to say it matches the quality of the game's actual melody-sequences. now THAT'S saying something. On top of that, it loops awesomely. Great work. ...now make something longer!

WinTang responds:

OMG that's like a Starcrow... Scarewars... nah don't work.

Thank you, thank you, I tried hard to make it Zelda-y. Longer things are on their ways!

XD

this reminds me of my "eggs are yummy" track...

...that's not what you meant by "eggvox" is it?
XD
at any rate, yours is much better. great glitchwork. you have some very nice stuff on here! especially "memories"
I'll have to check back when you have new stuff... keep up the good work!

EchozAurora responds:

actually, i was referring to what I call my little sister.. egg. lol
but thanks for the review, I'll have to check that out.

Awesome

This is so cool. very original... and at the same time, very Deathcab-y. The vocals could use a little more work, but they're still very good. I'd love to hear a finished version of this.

Awfullypretty responds:

Ben gibbards my hero, Thanks for the review

Good stuff.

This is some very nice music! The singing is great, and fits the song perfectly. Wickedly mellow. Great production, what with the multiple guitars, the bass, and the multiple vocals... excellent work all around. This sounds very proffesional, in an indie-sort-of-way... if that makes any sense. Good stuff.

good stuff

I'm a big fan of the industrial genre, and this track shall make a fine addition to said section of my iPod. I'll have to disagree with WinTang on this one (gasp!) in that I found the piano to be an excellent addition to the piece, and also, I thought the scream was rather tastefully placed. The drums were great, the ambiance was great... the addition of an organ near the end was awesome. On the whole, this track doesn't particularly stand out in an in-your-face way (except maybe the scream at the end...), but that's partially because it all seems to blend together so well; there is a lot of subtle effort in here. Great work. 5/5.

Stealth-Emergence responds:

Excellent Thanks AP!

I wasn't 100% certain this was Industrial as I feel it's somewhat ambient too, or rather it has a real atmosphere about it. which I was trying hard to maintain throughout the piece.

Thanks for your review AP and glad you like it!

Peace Out!
