holy shit

listening to some of the stuff you have on here, I must say I now value your feedback even more; you have some amazing music here. I'd have to agree with what some of the other reviewers have said about this particular one; it's a tad conventional, but still: wow. fantastic production. How long have you been playing guitar? seriously; great stuff.

Love-Hate-War responds:

Haha thanks alot!! I've been playing for like 5-6 years. I can't believe im getting all this positive feedback from a track I wrote in a couple of minutes. Thanks again!! :)

good stuff

very cool melody;
the lead synth seems just a tad too loud/distorted though.
the drums are good, very natural-sounding, but a little more variation would've been nice.
overall, not a bad loop. not a bad loop at all.
I'll 5 that.

DSMagnum responds:

I'm never very good with doing variation. When I get around to doing it, I normally mess up the song, or I make just small variations. I'll try to do better on that next time.

Thanks for commenting!

superb.

I'm sorry it took me so long to get around to reviewing this one; it's so friggin' good! very professional-sounding; the instruments all seem to compliment eachother perfectly. but the way you let the song evolve so slowly and then fade away, like a long deep breath and then an exhale... simply brilliant. lovely dissonance in the guitar part. such thick chords... this is a very, very rich piece of music you have here. Well done, good sir; well done.
5's & 10's

WinTang responds:

Thank you, good sir; thank you.
Hope to hear new stuff from you soon!

good stuff

I gotta say, I'm not a fan of synthesized guitarwork, but you did a pretty damn decent job of it. I would've liked to have heard maybe another guitar part, or maybe a bass line, or something in adition to the melody & drums, but it holds it's own as it is. nice work. great ending. 8/10. 5/5.

Para-Noid responds:

Yeah Your right you should have heard the bassling before because its a sliced up sample I used from a site I got it from. Plus I never thought this song would do good because I really think I can't make metal. No good samples or drums...nothing. But yeah thankz for the review and I thought my ending was cool too lol.

Para-Noid

very very nice

I like it.
I like it good.
seriously, though; I could hear an amazing backbeat that was just itching to emerge from those jagged synths... and the fact that it didn't emerge made it all the better. you're good. the whole thing, all three parts, very good. you have a way with ambiance; some people just stick random notes here and there and let them linger... you've got a good feel for it. very nice work.

SineRider responds:

I was thinking of putting in a beat, but I thought it took away form the whole aspect of the piece.

Thanks for the review^_^

wow.

you certainly have a way with chord progressions;
dude, seriously...
very very nice.
lots of emotion.
beautiful work.

Sevanimation responds:

Hey thanks,
I surprised myself with the chord progression.

yee-haw

Those banjo samples are oh so wonderfully crappy, what is there to do but fifen? It's like a Zelda hoedown... and the strings in the middle there sound like an arrangement straight out of Mario 64... which certainly isn't a bad thing. well done, sir; well done.

WinTang responds:

Yee-haw indeed!
Thanks - I knew you'd appreciate it :)

awesome.

I listened to your first 6 songs or so, and this one was my favorite... although the broken-ego track was amazing as well. You have a darkly-unique style; keep up the good work!

ShinDenjin responds:

Thanks man. I try sometimes^_^

as usual, well done!

I never had the chance to play the old-school metroid games much, but I do recognize the tune from the gamecube version. The vocal synths are an authentic touch, adding to the whole metroid-like atmosphere. Overall... what can I say? This is a stylish rendition of a classic metroid theme, with a heaping pile of funk thrown in for good measure. It sounds like there was a good deal of effort put into this, and, as far as I can tell, it is essentially flawless. awesome work.

WinTang responds:

Thanks att.perf.! I don't know the GameCube version, but from the SNES one the vocal synths are the only thing directly copied - ironic that you would point them out as the authentic touch... *grin*
Thanks a lot, your review made me feel GEWD!

hmm...

I think it needs more bass drum...
also, it's a little too chill for my industrial tastes... but, then again, maybe you're on to something...

PERVOK responds:

Yeah, the bass drum was quiet, but I turned it up as much as I could before the song distorted.

Also, when you review, it would be easier if you didn't review to suit your own tastes, but reviewd to the amount of skill that it took to make the song (not saying that this song is overlly amazing, or even good for that matter).

Thanks for the review, and i dropped you one.

Oh Yoshimi, they don't believe me, but you won't let those robots eat me...
