muy bien

I wish you hadn't added the German-speech samples, as they seem to add an air of novelty to the track... and not the good kind of novelty... Other than that, this is a superb extension of the preview, and you even added an additional segment of that organ melody I liked so much! The new, quieter section was a nice change of pace, while not being too much out of place, and the speed-up afterwards was great, though I wish it would've gotten just a tad faster and ended in a screaming mountain of awesome, instead of just a loudly-speaking pile of awesome. Still, a very good piece of track. Still 5/5.

WinTang responds:

Thanks dude, I was looking forward to this :)

I hear ya on the speech samples, though I like them very much myself, especially in the interlude. I like to be able to put this on a CD and then credit the vocals to Helmut Kohl. Heh. But I can see how it may seem a bit pretentious and can be interpreted as some kind of moral message, which is far from what I meant - I just wanted it to add a little hint of human intervening with the chaos.

A further speed increase is a cool idea though. I'll experiment with that and see if I like it.

I liked your awesome-metaphors a lot, btw. However, the only way I see making it "scream" more without totally fucking up the clarity, is adding more voices there... but if you have a better idea, please e-mail me.

Thanks a lot for your useful comments again, and for the 5/5 (although I think you forgot to click the 5 because my score has been exactly the same for a few days now...)!

awesomeness.

I think the bongos would be very much in place if you simultaneously introduced a light bass-drum/percussive-rhythm over the same rhythm as the intro synth... but there is definately something about that bongo part that I like, and I would hate to see it completely done away with; perhaps just de-emphasized.

Anyway, this one is deliciously chaotic, and chaos makes for the best kinds of music in my book. I love that organ line; it reminds me of something out of the sega-genesis videogame "DeCap-Attack," which is a compliment of high caliber, since the game has music to rival the likes of Sonic and Mario, yet with a dark and twisted edge.

Can't wait to hear (and download) the full version; 5/5

WinTang responds:

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you categorized your compliment yourself, because I have little expertise in the world of videogames :)
I did not really understand what you meant with that first line. It's too late anyway, because it's finished!! Check it out, right away!

Hooray for panning!

aw man... so friggin' cool... I'm not even going to try to analyze this one, for fear of loosing track of the overall groove... or maybe I'm just lazy... either way, awesome stuff!

WinTang responds:

:) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

arrrg, matey

'tis a fine tune indeed... if ye be a pirate! ...an' ot'erwise as well. yarrrg...

Khuskan responds:

Yarrrr indeed me'hartey!

...what just happened?

Excellent use of awesomeness... I mean filters... or something... I think I see my brain lying on the floor over there...

PERVOK responds:

That seriously cant be good. Get that checked out or something.

Thanks for the review!

very jazy

The quality is lacking, but it sounds like this is only temporary. The music, on the other hand, is awesome. Very dissonant, very jazzy, very well-thought-out. There were a couple places where I felt like the melody went off on its own without the harmonies following it... specifically somewhere in the beginning, I think... but perhaps that will sound better with voices; it just sounded somewhat awkward in this context. Overall, very interesting... certain aspects need a little work, but it has a lot of potential. 4/5

WinTang responds:

Yeah :) as I tried to explain in the insufficient comments space, this is a MIDI-version of a song I will submit in 5-voice close harmony... I'm glad you reviewed it and liked the idea, and now I can post the lyrics:

SOMEONE TO LOVE

(Someone) to, (someone) to, someone to love

Someone to love, and make me complete
Someone to love, it would be so neat

Someone that wears a thong
And tells my all night long
That I'm so sexy in my geek pants

Someone that will agree
to oral sex on me
three times a week - including weekends

Someone to love (someone to love)
someone to love (someone to love)

Is there someone? (Wait and see)
Will there be someone waiting? (Don't ask me)
Will she give me that disease, (which one again?)
the one with the burning sensation when you pee?

Even if she gives me gonorrhea
I can't wait to see her
My someone to, my someone to, my someone to love.

that first review made me laugh my ass off

what an asshole...
XD
great song. nice change of pace. very groovy.

PERVOK responds:

Yeah i know, I hate myself.
Damn z3n0n, damn you to hell :P

Thanks for the review!

awesome.

I love it! from that rhythmic ascending noiseamajig, to that spacious melody, to the deceptive break, to that generally awesome meat of the song... simply great music to listen to.

good stuff

I highly enjoyed this. The drums are awesome, the synths are alright, and I disagree with the first reviewer; I think that last note was great, especially how it just kinda shrugged itself off at the end. I also disagree with the second reviewer; the dissonant harmonies added a lot of character to the song. Plus, I love dissonance in general. It sounds like that metalic pedal tone is being played by hand, correct? I think it may be a little off-beat at times, and the volume varies... you may want to record the sound as a sample and use it in whatever software you made the rest with.
This is a short song, but it has a good deal of potential, so I'll give it a 4. Nice work; I look forward to hearing more.

itsameyayo responds:

Thanks for the positive review. Yes, the metallic pad was on a piano, not sure if it was called that though...

-The drums we're loops on the piano, but as for my contest song for February, which is "Friends Again?", I used my drumset skills to play on a drumset for the song. So yeah, to sum it up, I'm dying to get a comp. programs like Acid or Reason.

-Thanks for the review, hope you're doing great!

||\SU-146/||---Peace Out...

awsome.

I'm honored to be sharing the front page with you; the groove in this song is so thick, you could cut it with a spatula. awesome stuff.

Karbon responds:

Wait, I don't think I see you, lol. But anyways. You make my groove yummy, I want to eat my groove now. ;)

Oh Yoshimi, they don't believe me, but you won't let those robots eat me...
