wow.

I remember listening to your music a while back and enjoying it quite a bit, but I must admit I haven't listened in a while, and now I'm blown away. I love those chime samples. wonderful, wonderful work. the entire percussion section is cooked to perfection, and the rest, while not sounding quite as realistic, is still nonetheless amazing. I don't think I've ever heard a better-sounding simulated orchestra; which is to say, if I have, I must have mistaken it for the real thing. I would've liked to have heard some more wind instruments in there too, though... I think I hear some soft, low horns... and of course that louder one (tuba?) accenting the downbeat... but I think some bassoons and oboes (and maybe even some flutes) would have spiced this up quite nicely, however already-spicey they may be.

Overall, though, wonderful arrangement, fantastic composition. I can really feel the tension of the war. I have a feeling I'll have listened to the rest of your new work by the end of the week... you, sir, are highly skilled.

MaestroRage responds:

Hello Attempted. It's good to hear from you again man, truly it HAS been a long time hasn't it?

I'm glad you liked this song, for a long time I was beginning to worry that my music was becoming more and more mainstream and that it was taking a direction I didn't really want it to go, but as it turns out, i'm pretty happy with it for now, so we'll see how far I can take it yes?

As for the instruments, I don't really know why I didn't add more instruments to it, it just seemed to speak better to me, something about the simplicity of it. However now as I think back on it, I really can imagine a place for an oboe, a flute mayhap... hmm, perhaps a second version is in order? Who knows.

Thank you for the review Attempted, again I am glad you enjoyed the piece, your support means a good deal to me ^^.

niiice drums & basses

the rest of the components sucked, though. all those harmonies you didn't include: they were horrible. and that vocal sample I didn't hear: 'twas horrendous.

good stuff. good stuff.
nice variation in the drums,
and great job on the bass synths.

DSMagnum responds:

Thanks man! I forgot to include in the description that it can be used as a loop. :D

dude... this is amazing...

very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very, very nice. the mix... the tones... the rhythms... the atmosphere... very nice.

ShinDenjin responds:

very very very very very very very very very very nice of you^_^

very cool

I love the mix of sounds you have going on in here; instruments all over the place. The guitar sounded a bit too lo-fi, though... I wish I had some suggestions for you, but I haven't quite figured out how to get that perfect guitar sound either. very good composition, though, and great beats!

Stealth-Emergence responds:

Awesome! Thanks for your kind words and review!

I'm still trying to get on top of the recording quality for my guitars! and hoping to have it sorted soon!

Thanks again for you review

Peace Out!

highly enjoyable

this track friggin' rocks, it does. very high-energy. and I absolutely love that lead. There was one section where the line went down, then back up, and then repeated itself... I don't know if you know where I'm talking about, but I would've liked to have heard it keep going down the second time. also, the ending is a bit awkward. other than that, this track kicks major ass. well-done. 10's, 5's, and a download.

Anth0n responds:

Actually, I do know what you're talking about. That's just a result of bad transitions, my fault. Thanks for the review!

'tis good

this is a very well-put-together track, with lots of intelligent filtering and a great beat. The bass-i-ness of the whole thing seemed a bit overpowering, but that may have been part of the whole underwater feel you were going for, in which case it works well. Excellent use of whale sounds, though I would've liked to have heard more. You can never have too many whale sounds, I always say.

Kirizzle responds:

Thank you for your kind words :D I'm glad someone noticed my hard work.

The bass was suppose to be a somewhat over-powered since I was going for that underwater "omniscient" feel, like being surrounded by a large body of water in every direction.

I thought the whale sounds were a nice touch too ^_^ I suppose I could have used more of them through-out the track but I couldn't really find any decent places to sneak them in :/

Thanks for the good review!

very nice

it's crazy; absolutely insane. and yet, somehow it seems highly accessible. The vocals are of much higher quality than I'm used to hearing on this site... very well done... definitely a possibility for the radio show... it's original, it's stylish, it's... it's just damn good. you get 5's and 10's, a download, and my intention to take a listen to more of your stuff.

snoballandthmonyshot responds:

ta, glad u liked it

holy shit

listening to some of the stuff you have on here, I must say I now value your feedback even more; you have some amazing music here. I'd have to agree with what some of the other reviewers have said about this particular one; it's a tad conventional, but still: wow. fantastic production. How long have you been playing guitar? seriously; great stuff.

Love-Hate-War responds:

Haha thanks alot!! I've been playing for like 5-6 years. I can't believe im getting all this positive feedback from a track I wrote in a couple of minutes. Thanks again!! :)

good stuff

very cool melody;
the lead synth seems just a tad too loud/distorted though.
the drums are good, very natural-sounding, but a little more variation would've been nice.
overall, not a bad loop. not a bad loop at all.
I'll 5 that.

DSMagnum responds:

I'm never very good with doing variation. When I get around to doing it, I normally mess up the song, or I make just small variations. I'll try to do better on that next time.

Thanks for commenting!

superb.

I'm sorry it took me so long to get around to reviewing this one; it's so friggin' good! very professional-sounding; the instruments all seem to compliment eachother perfectly. but the way you let the song evolve so slowly and then fade away, like a long deep breath and then an exhale... simply brilliant. lovely dissonance in the guitar part. such thick chords... this is a very, very rich piece of music you have here. Well done, good sir; well done.
5's & 10's

WinTang responds:

Thank you, good sir; thank you.
Hope to hear new stuff from you soon!

Oh Yoshimi, they don't believe me, but you won't let those robots eat me...
