good stuff

A lot of the parts are out of tune with one another (like those weird bongo sounds), but I'm guessing that was intentional, in which case, well done. The intro made good use of the tried-and-true adding-parts-sequentially-on-top-of-other-parts method. The drums were nice, the melodies and harmonies were nice, the ending was nice. Overall, a rather creepy feel due to the previously mentioned out-of-tune-ed-ness, and yet upbeat at the same time. Nice work.

WinTang responds:

Yep, you guessed right :) all the bitonality and what not is intentional.
Especially the part after Overall made my very happy as this was what I intended. Cheers!

more good stuff!

You, sir, have talent. Once again, the only thing I can suggest is working on the production (which I can understand is difficult when you don't have thousands of dollars to spend on equipment). I'd love to hear what you have to say about my song, "Pop My Words with your Teeth," since it's a similar one-man band kinda thing, and also switches between sweet and sour.

WinTang responds:

I didn't do the mixing myself, but it was a bit of a rushed recording - we had to record seven songs in one day.
Thanks for the appreciation again. You know I love your stuff, so I like having you review me :)

a multi-instrumentalist, I see

another great piece of music. nice and mellow, yet empowering at the same time. I just noticed that this is in 7/4; I didn't even realize, so that's definately gotta say something about your talents in both performance and composition. Uncommon time signatures are the shiznite. 5/5 all the way.

great stuff

It's a little too unpolished (and short) for me to choose it to play at the station, but the performance and composition are fantastic. well done.

WinTang responds:

No problem. I'm too cool for your radio station anyway :)
Thanks a lot for the review.

blimey! that's some tasty drumwork.

I envy those drums... did you record them yourself? Self-recorded, self-spliced drums are definately the most rewarding kind... Very nice work either way.

R3ACT10N responds:

actually, no i didnt record them.
i downloaded them at a free(ware) drum loop site =)

im so glad i got them. However, i did splice them myself. Took a while.. but it was worth it!

thanks for the review!

good stuff.

I almost clicked it off before the drums came in... since the melody was a little repetitive... but there was something in me that knew it was going to get good... I'm glad I listened to that something.

5/5 & dl

R3ACT10N responds:

i always usually start my pieces slow.. which is why i dont get very good download hits and low ratings, people DONT LISTEN TO THE WHOLE THING. They have such short attention spans.

Thanks for the great rating, the download, your review, and of course, taking the time to hear my song.

um...

I hear nothing...

Pr1s0Ns3x responds:

yeah, when i tested it i could'nt hear anything, it only works when you download it :\ so yeah.

keep 'em coming!

more great stuff!
I love the harmonies when the lead gets all bendy-like :P
You seriously need more downloads...
I mean, if Bounce and Paragon and the like can get a platinum on every track, there's no reason why you shouldn't be doing the same with tracks like these.
Great, great stuff.

DJRunaway responds:

Argh, don't mention those 2 :P Newgrounds is mostly inhabbited by 13/14 year olds with poor music tast & experience... I wish the Audio Portal would get more attention; it's stuffed with great artists here. That's why I'm trying to set up a record company; for all those "attic-artists" who are highly potential. No more big, stupid record companies; Underground :) R²U Takeover will takeover the music industry :D

Greetz,
Runaway

hmm...

I agree with that last guy;
it needs more bass...
and more cowbell...
but more cowbell is always a given...

decent stuff

The guitars are great;
the drums could use some work...
I suggest using a steady rhythm on the ride cymbal.

reojionline responds:

Yes indeed you right and I agree with you, any way thanks for the review, I still have the raw track(without the drums) if you want you could add some drum yourself.

Oh Yoshimi, they don't believe me, but you won't let those robots eat me...
