not bad at all

I can see you're getting the hang of this whole Buzz thing! Very nice work on this one. I know it's not really a full song or anything, but at the same time, it has a decent theme, and some great sounds. It is highly distorted, and while I think that adds to its appeal in this case, you may want to watch your volume levels on your future tracks. Keep up the good work!

quite good

At first, I wasn't really sure if I liked it... the ambient synth you used seemed not-quite-ambient-enough, but it grew on me. overall, a very good song. I'm wondering why you didn't add some of that glitchiness you're so good at into the drums, as I think it would've added a lot to the track... the percussion just seemed a little half-hearted... still, excellent work

MenialConstruct responds:

Oue, I coudl see some glitchiness in this track. Defently something to think about for my next ;)

While this wasn't compeltely an ambient song, so not all aplies. Glad you liked it man ^_^

not your best... but good nonetheless

This isn't my favorite track of yours... much of the attention is focused on the drums, and because of this, I think they needed to be a tad more complicated/detailed/varied-in-tone than they were... it's not like they were bad, though; far from it. and the ambience was top-notch, so I'll give you an 8/10, 4/5.

SineRider responds:

I was just expermineting and made this

thanks for the review^_^

so... fucking... good...

the omenous intro... the glitch-your-heart-out rhythms... the buildup... the aphex-esque meat-and-potatoes... all so very well done. If it were possible, I'd give this an 11. I could listen to this all day... I still play your music on my radio show; I often use sadmachine as talkbalk music... keep up the brilliant work!

Kingbastard responds:

Thanks very much. So what radio station might this be, can anyone tune in, is it radiogrounds?

so good

Lovin' the synths; not a fan of the 808. but I suppose that's more a matter of taste. so yeah... not my favorite, but still a damn fine piece of music. I don't know if I'd qualify this as "dance" though... I might take it a step farther and maybe call it "intelligent dance music." yeah, that sounds catchy... perhaps they should make that into a genre or something... you know what? I've changed my mind; as this song evolves, so does the percussion, and it gets to the point where I'm thinking to myself, "damn, this kicks ass." Very well done. Another gem. 5's, 10's and a dl.

snoballandthmonyshot responds:

yo bro,
IDM? nothing intelligent about this track imo, but yeh, what else ya gonna call it? i agree without blowing my own horn, the 2nd half is pretty stonking when it gets going, i thank plaid for that really, similiar groove.
anyways, thanks for checking this out, gonna do a longer version i think, sounds like it wants to go elsewhere when it finishes
;ped

Fantastic

Lots of variation (key changes even). I loved the rising melody, but I don't think the synth you used quite suited the the melody, though it was perfectly used in the introduction, and I did get used to it by the end. Also, I don't think I've ever enjoyed listening to synthed guitars, but yours worked quite nicely. good stuff.

Striker028 responds:

thanks, i agree with every word. i was trying to mimic the sound from B0UNC3's paradise on E, but i didn't have any VST's so i did my best with some crappy generators. and the ending, well, i agree with you and everyone else that didn't like it.

thanks for the review :).

that IS short!

My only suggestion: if you're doing rock-type-music, you may want to simulate a more realistic drumbeat, or at least a bit more standard, keeping steady time with the hi-hat and whatnot. other than that, nice stuff! short... but nice. I'm particularly impressed with the guitar tone... I can never manage to get my recorded guitar distortion to sound quite right...

Stealth-Emergence responds:

Yeah I know what you're saying with regards to the drumbeat, I was requested to do a kind of techno/rock type thing, this was the result, I placed it under General rock as it's more swayed towards that genre!

I'm now considering lengthening this to make a full track out of it!

And I'm surprised too, yet pleased with how the guitar turned out on this, the sound quality there is improving for my guitars! XD

Thanks for your review man!

Peace Out!

niiiiiiice

just as good as ever!

Kingbastard responds:

I hope ever is good then:)

more good stuff

oops, sorry; I reviewed the wrong track... well, now you get two reviews! ...well, actually, I could say probably about the same things about this one as I did about "clouds of darkness," even though they're in vastly different genres, and this one seems to be quite a bit more developed. I think you'd really have something great if you took the time to develop something into a full song. those piano samples are really nice... add some intelligent lyrics over this beat, and I think you'd have yourself a hit.

Para-Noid responds:

Thanks for the 2 comments. But I hav to say im not so original. This beat (piano) was from a song called "The Beast" from Tech N9ne. You should check itout.

Para-Noid

good stuff

it's a little repetitive... good possibly for background music for a flash, but, unfortunately, not for radio play. I think some deeper bass tones would go a long way with this one... add in a nice, low, thumping bass drum, and I'd even give it a 9/10. not bad by any means; not bad at all.

Para-Noid responds:

Yeah I was told by all my friends that it was toooooo repetitive.

Para-Noid

Oh Yoshimi, they don't believe me, but you won't let those robots eat me...
